Founded in 2015 by Robert Johnstun, DNP, and Jonathan Muñoz, Monovo was inspired by Rob’s personal experience as an ICU nurse. Jonathan’s wife, Ashley, also a nurse, played a critical role in bringing Rob and Jon together. Rob and Jon felt strongly that Rob’s clinical experience and Jon’s upbringing in a home with low health literacy made them uniquely positioned to design a system that could make healthcare more streamlined and effective for providers and patients alike.
